ANDERSON DRAMATIC COMPANY.
"The London Arab" was produced at the Opera House last evening before a large audience. There will be a change of programme to.-night, when Arthur Jefferson's sensational melodrama, "The World's Verdict," will be produced. There will be several realistic scenes, and the principal sensa.tion of the piece occurs in the fourth aft, when the heroine is rescued by the hero from a fearful tieaca from the majiiac's knife. DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY. There was a good attendance at the City HaJl last everting, when the programme was well received. Mr John Geiger's violin playing was very heartily applauded, and an entertaining programme concluded with an amusing fame which created much laughter.
At Wirth Bros.' Amphitheatre, Customstreet, a change of programme was given last night, and met with general aipprotval. Among the new items was a dog ©laying football with the clowns with considerable skill. The tiger act was, as usual, most successful, Mons. Rago-il •being loudly applauded for his daring performance. Mr Phil. Wirth gave a fine exhibition with his trained horses, and the troupe of ground and lofty tumblers provided a splendid act. Miss Annie Aldean performed cleverly on the trapeze, and the Aldean Brothers created much laughter with their . comicalities. Little Masigna, the contortionist, performed several new and difficult feats. The highjumping dogs gave a wonderful exhibition of leaping, and the trick elephant Gain Sah was introduced in some new and novel feats.
