AQUATICS.
A genera] meeting of the members of the New Zealand Yacht Squadron was held last night, Mr C. P. Murdoch, commodore, presiding over a large attendance. The general committee recommended that the club should secure a flat in Smeetoj-'. Buildings, Queen-street, and after considerable discussion the recommendation waj< agreed to The commodore gave notice of motion to move at the next general meeting of members, "That a sum of not less than-10 per cent, of the amount of member*?' subscriptions be placed towards a building fund, such amount not to be used for any other purpose without the consent of a threefourths vote of members." Mr W. Airey gave notice to move at the next general meeting. "That a refreshment locker be provided in the cluhrooms." The meeting was closed by the singing of "God S*ve the King."
