WAIHI WARDEN'S COURT. WAIHI, this day. The Warden's Court met yesterday. Mr Bush sat for the first time in'Waihi. The following business was transacted:—Application by J. McKeown for Martha Hill Extended special claim of 99 acres, recommended, consent to be obtained of the local authority as to mining under streets; also for the Martha North special claim of 34 acres 1 rood, recommended with the same conditions; R. Worth, application for Federal Ext. special claim, granted, to be worked within 21 days; J. W. Walker, application for Federal No. 2 special claim, granted on the same conditions. Protection for six months was granted to the Waihi Alma Co. for the Kitchener special claim; Pride of Waihi Co. for the Pride of Waihi (the latter to be forwarded to the Minister); R. Worth, six months protection for Federal special claim.granted from the 4th June; Grand Junction Co., protection granted for six months for sawmill area; Waihi Consolidated Co., protection for nine months for Favona, Brilliant, and Key West special claims (the latter to be forwarded to the Minister); F. A. Rich, six months' protection for No. 3 special claim; Waihi Consols Co., six months for Consols Co. (to be forwarded to the Minister).

Residence sites were granted as follow:—W. Barrick, 1 acre at Waihi; T. S. Leggo, part section 144 a, Waihi; B. E. Parker, J-acre at Waikino; H. H. Judge, section 38, Waihi.

Surrenders were made as follow:—Helen Eykyn, part section 241 a, Waihi; W. Read, residence site license 369 a; Long, Monument special claim and Waihi New Discovery, from May; Grand Junction Co., application granted for extension of time for construction of water race for twelve months from June 4th; H. A. Pritch, granted renewal of timber warrant, 20 i-.cres, Waihi, for one year.
