The Japanese warships .Kongo and Hiyei, which axe on a cruise through the Pacific, sailed hence yesterday for Auckland.

[The Hiyei and Kongo are sister ships, and having been built 24 years ago represent a comparatively old type in naval architecture. The Kon-go is a coastal defence ship, and has 375 oillcers and men on board, including 64 cadets.] _,
