SHOES BLACKED BY ELECTRICITY.

An automatic bootblack is the latest Anierica'n invention. It is worked by electricity, and is started in motion by dropping a nickel in the slot. At the foot of a mechanical device are three openings, into which each foo jis inserted in turn. In the first opening- the mud or dust is removed, in the second the boot is blacked, and in the third a vigorous shine is given. The complete process takes about a minute and a half. The machine is to be set up in waitings rooms, stations and hotel offices.
