SPORTSMAN IN DANGER.—A sportsman well- known in Tpolern (Vie), recently came near losing his life in an extraordinary manner (says a contemporary). The gentleman in question, Mr William Byrnes, of Melton, when interviewed, said that trapping and shooting had occupied most of his time till two years ago, when he was laid low by consumption and "hip disease. He gradually became pale and emaciated ana was greatly weakened by a distressing cough. At last he had to take to bed, and was subsequently removed to the Melbourne Hospital, where the diseased hip was operated upon, but he still continued to decline, and the physicians said his disease -^as incurable. Indeed, on one occasion a minister was called in, as Byrnes seemed at his last gasp; but he lingered on. Then his relatives, impressed by the number of local cures effected by Dr.. Williams' pink pills for pale people, began administering- them to him. These pills enriched his blood and thus began to abate the consumption: little by little he gained strength, and by" further steady perseverance with Dr. Williams' pink pills he became cured. Now he is actually free from every symptom of consumption and is so strong that he goes away camping and shooting in the bush for days together. By replacing- the lost blood and increasing the resistent power of the lungs Dr. Williams' pink pills cure consumption and. other lung troubles. They also cure debility, neuralgia, rheumatism, diarrhoea, kidney and liver troubles, insomnia, nervous exhaustion in men, etc. Sold by chemists and storekeepers, and by the Dr. Williams' Medicine Co., Wellington, three shillings. Mx boxes sixteen and six, post free. When purchasing mind you ask for Dr. Williams'; imitation's dyed pink cannot cure consumption or anything else, as purchasers have found to their cost.
