A STOWAWAY ARRESTED,

SUVA (Fiji), this day.

A stowaway who was arrested today on the steamer Hauroto, which, has arrived from Sydney, is believed to be one of the Kennifs, the Queensland bushrangers. ■ ■■~.■

The steamer will be released from quarantine to-morrow, and particulars mil then be available. -

[The ICennifs, who are wanted on charges of the murder of Dalke and Doyle, in Queensland, are described as follows by the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Queensland Police Department:—James Kennif, the j rounger of the two brothers, is 27 years of age, and is a horsebreaker by trade. His general appearance is described as follows: sft 7in in height, 9st lllb in weight, light brown hair, brown eyes, small white spot on the right cheek, two moles on the back, one mole on the right shoulder, a scar on the base of the right thumb, scars on the second joint of the first finger of the left hand, and two moles on the right cheek. His brother Patrick is 37 years of age, a labourer, sft 9Jin in height,.weighing list 3lb, with dark hair, hazel eyes, a woman's bust and three doves with branches in their mouths tattooed on his right biceps, a woman's head with a chain round the neck and five doves with branches in their mouths tattooed on the left biceps, a scar on the right forearm, and a scar on the back of the liead. When discharged from gaol in March he had grown a moustache, but no whiskers.]
