THE NEW HEBRIDES.
LONDON, May 15
In the House of Commons "Lord Cranborne, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, stated that Britain and France had each appointed a resident Deputy-Commissioner in the New Hebrides to watch the interests of their nations, and maintain order. They were hot authorised to determine disputes regarding the ownership of land. Negotiations were proceeding to make other arrangements lor that purpose.
