THE TE ANAU.
The B,s. Te Anau arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at ilvau p.m. yesterday, after a lengthy voyage of 3S'a hour<3. having been delayed by a heavy westerly gale and head seas throughout the passage. Mr Percy Isaac, the purser, reports that the steamer left Dunedin at ;5.30 p.m. on Friday last, and called at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and .Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 9.15 a.m. on Wednesday, and arriving as above. Strong westerly winds prevailed from Wellington to Gisborne; thence strong west to north-.west gale, accompanied by heavy head seas, rain squalls and hail..
