FOOTBALL.
AUCKLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS'
RUGBY UNION,
Tihe annual meeting of the Public Schools' Rugby Union was held at the Sports Club last evening. Mr F. J. Ohlson presided. The annual report, read by Mr H. K. Burns, the secretary, stated that the past season had been a very satisfactory one, and the interest in the game had been well sustained by the boys. The Oneihunga school team won the caps in the "A" section; while the Newmarket school were successful in the "B" section. The Auckland Rugby Union and the Referees' Association were thanked for their assistance, particularly in the provision of referees. Officers for the. ensuing year we*e elected as under: President, Mr F. J. yOhlson; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. N. Mclntosh and T. U. Wells, M.A.; hon. secretary," Mr A. N. Bowden; executive, Messrs N. McKay, G. Plummer, and G. Brown; reporter, Mr A. L. Sheppard. It was decided that the championship matches should be opened on May 10, entries to close on May 2.
