Miss Jessie Hetherington, youngest da.ugjb.ter of Mr S. Hetherington, of Thames, has received notice that she has passed all the examinations lor the B.A. degree. Miss Hetherington is a former pupil of the Thames High School ' Three marriages took place here today: Mr Crease to Miss Elliott, 'of Omahu; Mr W. Hanlon to Miss Lang, of Tararu; Mr Cook to Mrs Salvers, oi Thames.
Mr Warden Bush has decided to accept none but plans after survey .made for all but extended claims. He thinks an experienced surveyor might be attached by the Government to each Warden's district. A crude plan submitted would lead to mistakes and trouble in the Survey Office. '
Several Thames Masons and others left this morning to attend the laying of the foundation stone of St. Matthew's new church.
