ASSESSMENT COURT.
The annual sitttihg of the' Assessment Court for the Parnell Borough To consider objections to valuations placed upon properties by the valuer, Mr Oarr, was held yesterday. Mr T. Hutchison; S.M., presided;: the valuer appeared in support of the valuations; and Mr B. iGiiiper, Town Clerk, appeared for the Council. The following objections were dealt with: —H. R. Bloomfield, house and lots 46 to 49, Avenue Road, £80 reduced to £6S; j&s. H. Buchanan, houses and lot, Strat-ford-street, £28, valuation sustained; A. Clements, house and lot, St. George's Bay Road. £60. no appearance, valuation sustained; H. G. Campbell, house and lot, Strand Lane, £8. no appearance, valuation sustained; Angus John Campbell, house and lot, £32, no appearance, valuation sustained: Henry Civil, dwelling and lot £26 valuation sustained; Geo. Foster, two shops and dwellings, no appearance, valuation sustained; James Gilmour.shOp and dwellinir. Manukau Road, £44, reduced to £38; Thomas Hill, cottage and lot SO £30 reduced to £7; Thos. Macklow, two dwellings and lot*, Park Road Fast, £50 no appearance, valuation sustain^; Frederick Stubbs, house and allotment, Russell-street,- £44, no, appearance, valuation sustained. The following objections on the. part of the Town Clerk to fhe valuations being too 10-w were deajt with: —Amelia Thornally, house and lot, Aipha Road, £19. valuation raised to £22; J. Hutchison, house and lot. Hobson Park Road £35, raised to £50; Amelia Matson, nart lots 37, 38. and 39,Hobson Park Road, £30 raised to £32; Osmund Monro, house and' lot 35, Hobson Park Road, £32, raised to £50; James H. Thomson, house and lot 42 Hobson Park Road, £65, raised to £<0;. James O'Sullivan, dwelling and cottage East-street, £36, raised by consent to £38 Joseph Armitage, house and lots, Garfield £ £™ railed to £24; Comiskey's estate? dwelling -arid grounds, St. Georges Bay Road, £50, raised to. £80 by-consent Macklow Brothers, house and lots, St. aKSK Bay Road, £38, valuation sustained; Thomas Russell, house and lots, T«dffe-street £75, raised to £80 by consent* El£a Kavanagh, lots Tn Brighton Road, £9, raised to £10.
