Sk,—While the above is under discussion, 1 should like to ask the following question: Does the Truant> Officer have the same power over private as he does over public schools? If so, how is it that so many parents send their children to private schools, and keep them home a week at a time, which they could not do if they were attending public schools? —I am, etc.,
