The Council "of the Chamber of Commerce has turned a complete somersault with regard to the cable question. The Council now takes up the stand that the Chamber was never opposed to the Eastern Extension Company having the right to open local offices when the Pacific cable was established, but opposed an interminable agreement by the Government. /
