REPORTED TO BE DEAD

LONDON, April 21

P. Letts, of the Sixth New Zealand Contingent, who was missing at Eustardsdrift, is reported to be dead.

[This evidently refers to Trooper Salph Letts, formerly of Hokianga, we are informed, joined the Sixth Contingent in Auckland, and -*cent to the front with them. He ■^as about 24 years of. age, and his father is a settler in the Hokianga district. Letts worked for Mr W. Winn, g-rocer, of this city; prior to leaving.
