(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The following is a cablegram from the Agent-General, dated London, April 19:— "The mutton market is very firm, holders endeavouring to raise the prices. Average price of Canterbury, 3£d; Dunedin, Southland, and W.M.E. Co., 33d; other North Island. 3id. Lamb, weak. Stocks on hand are' heavy. Shipments o£ River Plate lamb are increasing. Canterbury lamb, 5Jd; New Zealand, other brands, 4£d. Beef, firm; supplies small. New Zealand hinds, sid; fores, 4Jd. "There is a good demand for butter at 107/. Cheese, firm, 55/. "Hemp: Dull. £37 nominally. . Auction sales closed with weak, demand. "No alteration in cocksfoot."
