IN MEMORIAM.

IEGGENTON.—In loving remembrance of our dear mother, Harriet Eggenton, who departed this life on April 21, 1901.

We saw her suffer day by day. Which caused us silent grief, To see her slowly pine away. And could not give relief. In dreams we see her lovirtg face, And kiss her loving brow, And whisper, as we loved JTer ffien, We love her memory now. 1 Inserted by her loving son and daughter, James Saunders and Harriet Donovan.

PATTERSON.—In sorrowing memory of . Martha, the beloved daughter of Charj Jotte and the late Robert Patterson, 1 who died at Kingsland April 20, 1900.

There is a time when memory glides To the visions of the past, And bears from heaven golden dreams Too beautiful to last; But whilst their witching charm dispels The ruder blasts of sorrow, .Thought wafts his wings to those we love And speeds the shafted arrow. Then, when this fairy spell, My daughter dear to me, A prayer is wafted on the wings Of angel thought to thee, That love and beauty evermore • May gild a golden path, And shelter thee beneath their wings From gloom's tempestuous v/rath. Inserted by her loving mother, C. E. Patterson, Morningside.
