MANAWATU RAILWAY.

PALMERSTON X, Saturday.
At the annual meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Farmers' Union to-day, j£ resolution was passed condemning the Government proposals relative to the Manawatu .Railway Company, by which goods and stock will have to be transhipped at Long-burn.
