A MYSTERIOUS FATALITY.

WAIHI, .this day.
A young man, Bit hard. Connelly, who, according to his own story, was assaulted by a gang of roughs, which he . described as "a Sydney push," and 'thrown over an embankment at the Silverton battery, died early this morning from the result of his injuries. The police have been investi* gating his statement, but the entire case is* shrouded in mystery.
