THE PONSONBY CLUB.

The second annual meeting of the Ponsonby District "l*a Crosse Club was held in the Ponsonby Club Hotel on Monday evening. The president, Mr T. Peacock, occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The annual report snowed that the foar trophies presented to the club by Mr J. Klriser were won by Messrs J. C. Peacock and J. R. Lundon of the A team, and Messrs R. H. Bourke and J. H. BTalthwaite of the B team. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £3 15/8. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr J. Kirker; president, Mr T. Peacock; vice-presidents, Archdeacon Calder, the Very Rev. Dr. Egan, 0.5.8., and Messrs G. W. S. Patterson, P. R. Dix, J. H. Upton, A. S. Russell, J; Stichbury, C. J. Parr, W. J.. Courtney, J.Court and J. I. Knight; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. H. Bourke: committee, Messrs G. E. Anderson, W. Mason, H. C. McCoy and R. Noton; delegates to Association, Messrs R. H. Bourke, R. Noton and H. C. McCoy: selection committee, Messrs Anderson. Nolan and Noton, and captains of A and B teams. Several new members were elected. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring secretary (Mr H. C. McCoy), the press, and to the chairman.
