Messrs George Thomas and Co. report as. follows:—Lemons: Shipments from the Auckland district of very prime quality were worth 8/ to 9/, fair 7/, while thickskinned varieties are unsaleable at 5/. Passions: Prime quality in bushel cases, up to 9/. Apples are too low to warrant the suggestion of further consignments from any of the growing districts. Pears: Really prime 8.D.C., 8.D., 8.8., and Marie Louise are worth 7/ to 8/; Napoleons and Vicars are fully 1/ per case higher than last report. Cape gooseberries, 4*d to 5d per lb,nominal rates. Pumpkins': Present value from £3 per ton. Grapes: Good Hawke's Bay realised from lid to 1/ per lb. Consignments from other districts have improved proportionately, so that we may safely suggest further consignments. Onions: Canterburys are only worth £4 to £4 10/ per ton. Eggs, 1/4 to 1/5 for fresh and 1/1 for preserved. An anticipated order for the troopships for a large quantity, if secured, will have the effect of clearing the market and givin- an opportunity to bring back the value to 1/6. Fungus: Good demand at 41d to 4*d per lb. Poultry: Supplies very heavy "Prime roosters down to 3/, mixed fowls '2/6, chickens from 1/ to 1/6. prime rtupks 3/6, store ditto 3/; geese 4/6, turws at an average of about 8/ per pair aU round. Butter: Very prime dairy in pats 84d, bulk Bd, farmers' separator 9d and pastry 7d.
