NAPIER, this day.

An exceptionally heavy storm raged here yesterday afternoon, working up the heaviest sea in the bay known for years. Heavy rain fell during the day, flooding the low-lying lands ia the suburbs, but doing no serious damage. The weather has now cledrefl, and the flood-water rapidly receding.
