Mr, Towlds, M.H.K., has received the following telegram from tw' Eight Hon. E. J. Seddon, Defence Minister, in reference to the New Zealand Kifle team for Bisley: "I sut^ mitted your telegram to Colonel Soin. merville re selection of New Zealand Bisley team, and have received the following reply: 'Claims of Carlson and Webster, of Auckland, considered by committee. Carlson fair iaiU vidual shot, but riot sufficient expert, ence for team shooting. Webster fall, ing off in his shooting.. Committee did not take into consideration the claims or any district; they selected the best men available for team shoot« ing, no . matter where .they catn| from, and . the team selected is a splendid one.
