DRURY.

(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) ■ On Wednesday, March 26,. a welcome home social to Mr and Mrs John, Blake was held in the Drury Hall, and passed off successfully. Mr Joseph Flanagan (chairman) gave a formal welcome to the returned, settlers after their trip to the Home Country, and expressed the general satisfaction felt on their successful return to Drujy. Other, congratulatory speeches were given. Mr Blake suitably .replied, and thanked the large company for the cordial welcome received. Songs were sung at intervals, and dancing was kept up with great spirit until a little past midnight, the music being well supplied by Ballard Brothers. Messrs H. Appleby1 and F. Ballard were efficient M.C.'s. Great credit is due to' the active committee, and their honorary secretary (Mr Otto), for the carrying out of the arrangement.
