CONFERENCE OF FLOURMILL EMPLOYEES.

WELLINGTON, this day.
At the conference of representatives of the Auckland, Otag-o, and Canterbury flourmill employees on Saturday the question of the Southern Milling; Trust was considered, bat no decision was arrived at. Various matters as to hours of labour, wages, etc., were discussed, and a report on the subject is to be presented to the various Unions. The question of a Federated Flourmill Employees' Union for the colony is to be submitted to the Unions. Some difficulty was found in arranging the hours of labour so as to bring in the Saturday half holiday, and aftier discussing the subject for nearly two hours the delegates had to leave it unsettled and pass on to other matters. . ... The conference of flour millers; employees' unions has decided to recommend the federation, of the various unions in the colony.
