Wind: Moderate to strong from between north-west and south-west at all places northward of Kaikoura and We&tpoit, from between south-east, south and south-west at all other places.

Barometer: Rise everywhere. Sea: Considerable on all Western, moderate on all Eastern Coast. Tides- Good on all Western Coast, and on Eastern Coast from Cape Campbell southward to Lyttelton, moderate elsewhere. Rain is probable in most parts of the colony.
