DRAINING ARCH HILL GULLY.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —It gave me great, if unexpected, pleasure to see in the "Star" of a few nights ago that Dr. Makgill was trying to stir up the sluggish dwellers near the above nuisance. Hurrah for that doctor. I'll send for him when i'm sick. He is evidently one of the few of the profession who think prevention better than cure. He is a Health Officer worth the name. May he prosper and be well assisted in his efforts to rid our fair city of this and other pests.—l am, etc, BAKTTAS.
