LONDON, February 21
The House of Commons, by 263 to 166, agreed to sit full time on the first four days} of the week, thus enabling members to have a longer week-end holiday. Earl Fitzwilliam is dead. In the House of Lords Lord Onslow, replying to Lord Lamington, exGovernor of Queensland, said the Pacific Island Labourers Bill was a subject entirely within the Commonwealth's jurisdiction. Doubtless care would be taken that the labourers were returned to their own villages.
