PORT NICHOLSON" YACHT. 4'CLUB'S REGATTA.

WELLINGTON, Sunday.

The Port Nicholson Yacht Club's regatta was continued on Saturday. The handicap race for first-class yachts (first prize £10, second pri?;© a trophy) was won by Mr A. H. Turnbull's lorangi (scratch), Messrs D. Georgeson and; Co.'s Waitangi (scratch) second, Mr E. G. E. Mills' Rainbow (scratch) third. Maritana (15 minutes' time allowance) also> started. The finishing- times were:—lorangi, sh» lm 295; Waitangi, 5h sra 3Ss; Eainbow, 5h 8m 5Ss; Maritana, sh. 53m 2s. Siren passed the finishingpoint first in the second-class yachts race, but Ivotare won on time allowance,! with Muritai second, Atalanta third, and Siren fourth. The thirdclass yacht race was won by Mahaldu In the first-class yacht race Rainbow took a course too far to the leeward of Ivorokoro buoy in the beat across the harbour, and the buoy was: rounded first by lorangi, with Waitangi second". This order was then maintained till the finish. Maritana' was a long way in the rear. The winner of the first-class yacht race takes, the Mills' Memorial Cup for one year/ and the. winner of the second-class yacht race the Levin Memorial Cup for one year.
