TAUPAKI.

The Taupaki school picnic was held in Mr Russell's paddock on Thursday and was a great success. Cricket, rounders and swings amused many. Mr Joynt, ch/iirmatt of the school committee, Mr Tidmarsh, the schoolmaster, and Messrs J. and W. Hussell< Gray, Cottle and others assisted to make the affair a success. Mr Monk, M.H.E., was among those present. At the , same time and place a large church picnic from town availed themselves of the holiday and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
