HOKITIKA, this day

■ The weather to-day cleared after a night's heavy rain, which brought down a considerable fresh in the Ilokitika River. The Ministerial partyproceed to Kokatahi district thia morning. They will be entefTained at lunch there at noon by the Westland County Council with the settlers and members of local bodies. In the afternoon the party will arrive a-4 Ross, dining with the Mayor and Councillors, and attend a public reception in Totara Hall to-night, and the party will return to Hokitika to-mor-row, via take Mahinapua, under com duct of the Harbour Board. Sir Joseph Ward takes public deputations in the afternoon and delivers a political address in the Town Hall in the evening.
