At a largely attended convention of the United Irish League in Dublin Mr John Redmond appealed for the establishment of a permanent Parliamentary fund of £11,000 a year.

On Mr Dillon's motion.it was resolved, "That it is imperative to pass immediately a wide scheme oi compulsory sale of landlord's interests in Ireland to the occupiers and provide for the reinstatement of evicted tenants."
