The St. Louis fair in 1903 promises to be on a scale of comprehensiveness and magnificence never before reached in a national exposition. The idea of having typical villages from all the different, tribes and nations, showing the people as they actually live, and the suggestion that the different leading industries be shown in actual operation, opens out a field of almost inexhaustible interest. The suggestion is now made by the National Arts Cluo, of New York, that the St. Louis exposition be made a model city, showing streets, parks, buildings and so on in accordance with the latest approved ideas of municipal construction. If this plan is carried out the exposition will be in itself an object lesson in engineering, landscape gardening, street cleaning, water supply, and so on, and it is also suggested that public schools, a library, a museum and other educational institutions be included in the scheme. The adoption of this plan would, of course, involve the expenditure of large sums of money, but the resources of the commissioners seem to be practically unlimited. They have £3,000,000 to spend now, and this is only the beginning. "Women worried with household cares will find a dose of Phosphorton occasionally an invaluable pick-me-up and tonic.
