A cricket match took place.at the Waihi Recreation Reserve on Saturday between single and married members of the Waihi C.C, with the following result:—Married: Lang 17, Morgan 0, Williams 31, Rev. Olphert 7, Sleep 0, Layne L E. A. Johnson 0, Clark 2, Robins 2, Cornthwaite not out 20, Gordon 0, sundries 7: total 87. Johnson took 4 wickets for 26, Rea 3 for 17, Bealey 3 for 26. Single: Bealey 3, Duff 8, Johnstone 2, Carter 30, Rea 11, Brown 3, ■Burr 6, Hollis not out 12, King 0, Scobie 0, James 11, sundries 7: total 93. Cornthwaite took 6 wickets for 33, Johnson 3 for 23, and Lang 1 for 15.
