The sixth annual meeting of the Ponsonby Cricket Club was held in All Saints' schoolroom. Mr. C. J. Parr (vice-president) occupied the chair. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr T. T. Masefield: vice-presidents, Messrs C. J. Parr, T. U. Wells, Dr. Bedford, P. Darby, and Archdeacon Calder; club captain, Mr A. Kemp; deputy captain, Mr R, Sims; secretary and treasurer, Mr I. Clarke; committee, Messrs G. Wallace, E. Robertson, W. Mills, A. Braund; selection committee, Messrs A. Kemp, R. Sims, and W. Mills; delegates, Messrs Plummer and Robertson; auditor, Mr G. B. Osmond. During the evening trophies were presented to Mr W. Mills for best batting average, and to Mr F. Wilson for most double figure scores, by Messrs C. J. Parr and J. R. Lundon. The best averages were:—lst grade, W. Mills, batting, 27; bowling, 15; 2nd grade, T. Harris, batting, 24.50; N. Wallace, bowling, 6.12; 3rd grade, E. Hickson, batting, 14.50.
