FOUND DROWNED.

The body of a man, unknown, was found this morning at Mechanics' Bay by George Bridensen, a sailor on the scow Excelsior. Deceased appears to have been a man of 47 or 50 years of age. He is sft 4in high, of medium build, fresh complexion,short brown whiskers and moustache grey and grizzled, and almost bald. In his pockets were * 2/4_ in money, a watch and chain, a locket, a bunch of keys, a whistle, and a N.Z. Co.'s time-table. The body was taken to the Morgue to await an inquest. The body appears to have been in the water between 24 and 48 hours.
