THE REFUGEE CAMP.
LONDON, August IG,
A committee in Switzerland arranged to send a doctor and six nurses to attend the women folk in the Boer refugee camps, but the party were not allowed to leave Southampton, the authorisation, given by Lord Roberts in March having been rescinded by the War Office on the ground that all measures necessary to preserve health were now taken. The Foreign Office declined a request that it should review the War Office division.
