Shopkeepers and the general public should remember that under the Poisons Act "B.oijgh on Eats" cannot he sold unless the shopkeeper has a special license, which may be obtained free. At the Police Court this morning, Kobert Rew, grocer, of Victoria-street, was charged with selling "Rough on Rats," without a license. Mr Rew admitted the offence, but said that he. did not stock "Rough on Rats" as his catalogue would show. He had on_ his premises three boxes of the poison, .which had been bought for private use, and it was one of these that was sold to the police. The seller had n© idea, he was breaking the law in selling without a license. The police said the case was brought to draw at(tention to the need of a license.
