DEATH OF A TROOPER
INVERCARGILL, this day
Sergeant W. A. Moffett, of the Fifth Contingent, who returned by the Tagus, died last night. He was in good health on landing, but a week later a fresh attack of malarial fever, contracted while going through Portuguese territory, set in, and was followed by pneumonia. Deceased was given a military funeral.
