DUNEDIN TRIAL MATCH.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
DUNEDIN, Saturday
In the second trial representative match, played at Carisbrook this afternoon, the blues defeated the colours by 17 to nil. Burt, Munro, Wilkinson, Given, and O'Brien 'scored tries, Bennett converting one. In the second spell, Uttle-y and Bennett, among the backs, and Hotop and Spiers, in the forwards, replaced Orbeil, White, O'Brien, ajnd Mitchell. In the blue combination, Uttley and Bennett, by their line display will, it is considered, find places in the team 'selected to play Southland next Saturday. The team will probably be: Casey, full; Bennett, centre; Booth, and Wilkinson, threequartcrs; Armstrong, Duncan and Uttley, halves; Mujno, Spiers, Hotop, Smith, Given, Burt, Adamson, and Hobson, forwards. If any alteration is made it will be In the vanguard.
