FIRE ON A SUGAR BOAT

ADELAIDE, this day
A fire on the steamer Balmoral lying at the wharf with uUUO lous of Javu sugar aboard, broke out in the hold amidships, where there were a thousand tons of sugar.
Some 250 tons wen.- destroyed, while probably v lurge quantity in th« lower iiold will be found damaged with water.
The ilames aud boiling sugar, which spread in all directions, seriously damaged the captain's eubiu, .saloon and storeroom lit tings.
