Notice is hereby given that under the provisions of tha Roads Boards Act, 1882, and of the Rating Act, 1894, Seotions 37 to 44, the Mount Eden Road Board intend at their next Ordinary Meeting, to bo held at the Office of the Board on MONDAY, the 12th day of August, 1901, to strike a • 'General Rate" of 3d (three farthings) in the £, and to make and levy a Special Rate for Lighting Purposes of id (oneeighth of a penny) in the £ on all rateable properties within the Mount Eden Road District, both rates for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1901, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1902, and to be payable with the Non-consum-ers' Rate for the year ending September 30, 1901, collected within the Water District; the three mentioned rates to be payable in one sum on the 19th day of August, 1901, at the Office of the Board, where the Rate Book will be open for Inspection by Ratepayers during office hours.
