This winter's course of lectures at the Young Men's Christian Association waa Inaugurated last evening at the Association buildings. The lee cure was delivered by Mr Stuart Stephenson, M.A., of Prince Albert College, the subject being "Parodies." In spite of the unfavourable nature of the weather there was a good attendance. The lecture was interspersed with many quotations, the reading of which excited much amusement. The lecturer was frequently applauded, and h the end of the lecture was accorded a vote of thanks. Mr C. W. Hemery presided. The lectures of this year's course promise to be as interesting and instructive- as in former years, and should bo largely patronised.
