BOEES WOBSTED AT SEVERAL
POINTS
LONDON, July 22. General Pamdle's column, while marching through Northern Orange liver Colony, across the Vaal to Standerton. captured 42 waggons and carts. 5000 horses, 3400 cattle and ?A,----000 sheep.
General Rundle's Yeomanry, in passing through the Vrede district, encountered a commando at close range. Captain Botha, of the enemy, was killed, and Field-Cornet Lombard captured.
Pour hundred Boers attacked Colonel Pilcher under cover of a veldt fire in the Bulfontein district last month. The Mounted Infantry rcrreved the Yeomanry, who were in a difficult position. When the guns were brought into action the Boers retired, having lost seven killed and 25 wounded.
Major Pine Coffin, with detachments of the 9th and 15th Mounted Infantry and Essex Volunteers, at night surprised Colliers' commando near Honingspruit, north of Kroonstaad, capturing 14, including two of General Prinsloo's sons, besides fcorsee, saddles, rifles and ammunition.
