SYDNEY SHOOTING TRAGEDY.
A BARMAID DANGEROUSLY
WOUNDED.
SYDNEY, Saturday.
At the close of the performance at Her Majesty's Theatre, Pitt-street, on Saturday night, where Williamson's Comic Opera Company is now appearin", a young man entered the bar' adjoining the dress circle and fired three shots from a revolver at Miss Jenkins, the barmaid. Two took effect seriously and the third struck a second girl, who was dangerously wounded. The assailant escaped. SYDNEY, Sunday.
A man named John Beal has been arrested for shooting tbe barmaid. Jealousy is said to be the cause.
