SPLIT IN THE LIBERAL PARTY.

Forty Liberal members of the House" of Commons are urging Mr. Asquith not to accept, the banquet tendered to him by his supporters. The "Daily News"' says if the banquet is given Sir H. Campbell-Ban-nerman, the leader of the Opposition, will be obliged to resign.
