THE WAIKARE.
The s.s. Waikare arrived from Sydney at 7.30 o'clock last evening, and after medical Inspection by the health officer. Dr. Sharman, berthed at the Queen-st. Wharf. The purser reports that the steamer left Sydney at 6.18 p.m. on the 20th ult., and had the Three Kings abeam at 9.45 p.m. on the 30th; passed Cape Maria Van Diemen at 0.50 the same date, and had Cape Brett abeam at 9.30 a.m. yesterday, arriving as above. She experienced two days' fine weather after leaving, followed by 24 hours of strong easterly gales, with high seas, and moderate jresterjy wiqds from thence to arrival.
The Walknrc leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at 0 n'floi-k this t-venlng with the following passengers:— Misses Winkleman. Williamson, Itk-hinond (2),Calder, Owen. Howard. Morley, Eastwood (2), Mesdames Milne. I'tnn. Abercrombie, Timbrcll, Donaldson and - children. Horncl'arker, McLean. St. Clair. Billeus. Messrs Milne, Aberurombie.
