Standard stocks generally had fair demand to-day on the Exchange, with few changes in value with the exception that buyers came in. for Standard Insurance at 17/4. In mining stocks sales were made of Waihi Extendeds at 4/, Tairua Broken Hills at )}/, and Waihi Beach shares at (»d and (ijd. Grand Junctions were, enquired for at 32/, and Talisman buyers advanced to -V, but no sales resulted. In cheap lines Welcome Jacks were firmer, being wanted at 1/1, with no sellers under 1/3.
