The King has instituted a conspicuous service cross as a decoration for warrant and subordinate officers in the navy. . The French Chamber of Deputies has accepted the Senate's amendments in the Religious Associations Bill. In the course of an interview, Sir A. Clarke, the Victorian Agent-Gene-ral deprecated a large expenditure on the defences at Gibraltar.
