FIRE AT WAITEKAURI.

WAITEKAURI; this day.

The Waitekauri branch of the Direct Siipply Company was totally destroyed by fire on Sunday morning aboutone o'clock. The local fire brigade turned out promptly, and had a lead on in four minutes from, the arrival of tue reel. The brigade saved the Town Hall after great exertion. Mr Sutton discovered the fire, and gave the alarm. The insurance on the building is £50 in the Madgeburg Co.; tools £50 in the Imperial. The insurance on the ftock is not known.
